Sri Gururaj Hoskote.

Three sundays ago, in Rajajinagar, Bangalore, Some local group had organized Kannada Rajyotsava Festival, which is celebrated the whole month of November even though its on 1st November. Every evening thay had managed to run some cultural programmes. One evening I heard some one was singing with full energy, full high pitch, with North Karnataka accent. I just went to see the character where I find a good built body, in white & white, a Karnataka Muffler around his Neck. Yes, he is Sri. Gururaja Hosakote, one who played the role of Tea angdi chacha in JOGI movie. He is a very fabulous singer of Folk songs. He sings with such a high pitch, I think rarely we could find like'em. I was deeply involved in the show. There were hardly any crowd, rest who are interested only with color color orchestra creating nuisance. Upon that, the show was getting disturbed on arrival of so called Politicians at irregular intervals. Somehow the team managed to sing almost 25 songs. I as usual, took a photograph with him. His popular songs are Kenchalo manchalo, Hodimaga hodimaga, Nam hudga en kettawanalla(Folk), Thaayi satha mele. I seriously and its a very humble request to all Kannadigas to support these singers and keep the fame of Folk Songs Live.
